Route Overview:

Depart New Orleans heading north on Interstate 10.

After crossing the state line entering Alabama, exit Interstate 10 at exit 2 onto Alabama Route 607. Route 607 transitions into US Route 90 heading east. US Route 90 hugs the Gulf Cost -- so the travel will either be beautiful or painfully slow or some combination.

Pass through Biloxi, Alabama and cross the state line into Mississippi. Beyond Pascagoula, turn onto Mississippi Route 188 heading south.

At Alabama Port, Mississippi route 188 intersects with Mississippi Route 193. Turn right (south) on Dauphin Island Parkway to the ferry landing. Take the ferry to Fort Morgan.

Leave the ferry landing on Alabama Route 180 headed east. Route 180 will change to Alabama Route 135 for a short distance. Turn left onto Alabama Route 182.

At the Florida state line, Alabama Route 182 becomes Florida Route 292. Continue on 292 into Pensacola.

Arrive Pensacola, Florida

Comments

This could be a rather fun day's ride. The first day with more than two states in a single day after leaving the large western states behind.
