Depart Joplin on Missouri Route 66 (7th Street) heading west. Cross state line into Kansas Continue on Kansas Route 66. At Riverton, Kansas, transistion onto US Route 69 Alternate heading west. Cross state line into Oklahoma West of Quapaw, Oklahoma, US Route 69 Alternate rejoins US Route 69. Continue south on US Route 69. In Miami, Oklahoma, turn right to remain on US Route 69 / US Route 59. South of Interstate 44, bear right onto US Route 60 heading west. Turn left in Vinita Oklahoma to remain on US Route 60. Outside Vinita, exit US Route 60 onto Oklahoma Route 66. Oklahoma Route 66 joins Interstate 44 at exit 241. Enter I-44 heading west. At this point we are going to abandon old Route 66 until Oklahoma City. At exit 224, transition to US Route 75 heading south. Stop in Okmulgee. Continue south on US Route 75 heading south. At intersection with Interstate 40 at Henryetta. Arrive Oklahoma City.
Cross state line into Kansas
Continue on Kansas Route 66.
At Riverton, Kansas, transistion onto US Route 69 Alternate heading west.
Cross state line into Oklahoma
West of Quapaw, Oklahoma, US Route 69 Alternate rejoins US Route 69. Continue south on US Route 69.
In Miami, Oklahoma, turn right to remain on US Route 69 / US Route 59.
South of Interstate 44, bear right onto US Route 60 heading west.
Turn left in Vinita Oklahoma to remain on US Route 60.
Outside Vinita, exit US Route 60 onto Oklahoma Route 66.
Oklahoma Route 66 joins Interstate 44 at exit 241. Enter I-44 heading west.
At this point we are going to abandon old Route 66 until Oklahoma City.
